The Blackbutt/ Benarkin area has a rich diversity of flora and fauna. If we want this to survive and flourish, areas of habitat need to be preserved and protected.
FEAT is a non-profit group of interested/concerned residents with the aim of fostering awareness of the natural history of our region, encouraging community members to look at various aspects of plant and animal habitat, wildlife preservation and rehabilitation, and other environmental issues.

"What is man without the beast? If all the beasts are gone, man would die of great loneliness of Spirit.
For whatever happens to the beasts soon happens to man.
All things are connected."
(Chief Seattle, 1854)
